Anyone ever use these? Particularly in a Miata or for autocross.? I know the gold sttis koni yellows, but someone nearby is selling a set of 4, unknown age, listed at $100. Was at $150 a week ago, so they’re trying to get rid of them. Even at $75, are they going to be an improvement at all?

They’re basically equal to the original Showa shocks that came on NA/NB Miatas. Great for their value and good if you want to stay in stock-class autocrossing while on a budget. I’d be cautious buying them used.

Yeah, he had nothing to tell me about mileage/age. I'll probably wait for someone to tell me mine are shot and then go for konis.

Wait until the Koni sale on TireRack around Spring-time. I bought mine that way.

I have them in my C30 (rear only) and have been very impressed. They were very inexpensive. I have them paired with Koni Str.t struts and they match up well.

They were usually the 3rd choice in adjustable shocks back in the day, considerably behind Koni yellows and Tokico Illuminas. They sold at a lot lower price point. Compared to OEM or OEM equivalent stuff, they’d be a considerable improvement if they’re still any good.
What car would these be going on? If you can do the install yourself and you’re only out the cost of the alignment, they’re probably worth a shot. If you’re going to pay shop labor for the install, that might not be worthwhile to see if some 10-20 year old adjustable struts still have some life left in them.

You maybe thinking of the KYB GR-2, which is an OEM type strut. The AGX was a five or six way adjustable strut from the 90's and early 00's aimed as budget option to Koni Yellows and Tokico Illuminas.

Sounds like they could be worth a shot.
